In an effort guided by public interest and concern for the welfare of farmers, Sean Tembo will this morning at 09:00 hours make a live phone call to the President of the Republic of Zambia, His Excellency Hakainde Hichilema.
The engagement is intended to seek clarity on the status of payments owed to farmers who supplied maize to the Food Reserve Agency (FRA).
Specifically, the call will seek confirmation on whether Government released funds on November 6, 2025, for the settlement of these farmers, as earlier indicated by the Ministers responsible for Finance and for Information and Media.
The discussion will also seek to understand the reasons behind the delays that farmers continue to face, particularly claims that the hold-up lies within the commercial banking system. Should this be confirmed, a request will be made for further details to allow for constructive follow-up in the interest of ensuring that farmers are paid without further delay.
The phone call will be broadcast live on Sean Tembo’s official page, allowing the public to follow the engagement as part of a shared national concern for the well-being of Zambia’s farmers.
