GOVT EXPOSES PLOY TO PROTEST DURING AU SUMMIT

Government has unearthed a ploy by some people and their supporters to take advantage of this week’s African Union (AU) summit to cause anarchy.

According to Zambia Daily Mail, Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security Jack Mwiimbu has since warned that Government will not allow anyone to disturb the smooth flow of the meeting.

“We are aware of plans by some unscrupulous individuals and their supporters who want to take advantage of this important occasion to carry out illegal activities and demonstrations against the Government,” he said.

“I would like to warn our colleagues and citizens who may want to create anarchy and confusion to think twice and desist from doing so.

As a people, it is normal that we have matters on which we have differences amongst ourselves.
