“Giving is a biggest blessing than receiving,” says Precious Shamende.
The 21-year-old Precious is a student of Eden University pursuing her teaching program.
She is a young girl that believes in giving than receiving. During an Interview with Girl Empowerment Alliance for Change, she narrates:
“I value giving than receiving and my passion grew from understanding how it feels to have no one to support you, been vulnerable is something that can happen to anyone not by choice but by circumstances and I believe everyone has a part to play. I grew this great Inspiration, having lost my father at an early age ,I remember I was just 12 years old since then a lot of things changed so I thought of having a foundation that would help the less privileged children and orphans because I know how it feels to lose a parent and I know how it feels to have nothing when others are having.
I have this great love and passion to help out the vulnerable. In a month I try spoiling the kids by getting them groceries and I also pay for their fees through my supportive members of the foundation who also help me out.
Having been in this industry I have Faced challenges ranging from many people having failed to support me but only a few do..Many feel and think like I’ve money nowonder I give the needy,,,so sometimes I find it hard to ask for help from anyone because they think I have enough to support my self just like I help others.
My future plans are to grow many orphanages and empower kids to have various skills so that they too give and Empower the needy. To everyone reading this my Encouragement is that, there are many blessings in giving than receiving ,even if you don’t have enough make sure atleast you give a 5% of what you have…I usually find my self being helped by many people because I give a lot…I’ve been through situations where I thought like it was the end of everything and God did wonders for me as well as the people I’ve helped …so the hand that gives will receive even more..God bless you.”
