TODAY I IMPOUNDED TRUCKS LOADED WITH LEAD COMING FROM KAWASAKI THROUGH MARIA AFTER 6, CHIRWA RIVERSIDE DOWN TO CHOWA ROAD

Good afternoon my fellow residents of Chowa T/ship.

This morning I took time to visit residential roads that are being used by trucks loaded with lead from Kawasaki.

I have ordered from today that trucks should stop using residential roads to transport lead and instead find an alternative route outside residential areas.

The lead deposits which are being transported through residential areas have bad effects on the health of humans.

The trucks are also destroying the roads making them impassable during rain season and also the trucks are contributing to dust in the areas making residents suffer from continuous flu and cough.

The truck drivers have responded positively to my verbal warning but if the situation continues an action will be taken on would be offenders.

Let me also take this opportunity to thank residents of the said wards for exercising patience on this matter after complaints were submitted to me.

NB# Note that I am equally aware that there are some areas which need the same attention and will surely be attended to.

Together we can make Kabwe a healthy town.
