UPND cadres today attacked the Patriotic Front (PF) Secretariat.

This happened today around 13:40 when PF Acting President, Hon. Given Lubinda was in his office with some party officials.

The cadres tried to force themselves into the PF secretariat but were held off at the gate by alert PF security and youths.

Witnesses said the intention by the UPND carders was to provoke some PF youths who came to have an audience with the Acting President, Hon. Given Lubinda.

But noticing that their threats and insults were not yielding any results, the carders jumped into their buses, and sped off with a promise of coming back.

Meanwhile, some onlookers who witnessed the incident booed at the UPND carders in disappointment with their actions as the carders sped of in their buses.

And a senior citizen by the name of Mr. Misheck Chilufya said it was disappointing to see a ruling party lowering itself to such levels as violence. He said the people gave PF a vote of no confidence on August 12, 2021 because of carderism.

“Its disappointing that the same thing we complained of in PF is now back just that this time it has come in a different colour, colour red”

“President Hakainde Hichilema is on record of saying he has ended carderism but on the ground its something else. Just yesterday we saw on social media were UPND carders beat up people at some funeral, and today we have seen with our eyes that carderism is still there. The only difference is that it’s now red,” he said. This is according to a report published by Muvi TV.
