Former Lumezi Independent MP Pilila Jere has defected from PF to UPND.
Mrs Jere served from 2016 to 2021.
She lost the seat to current Independent MP Munir Zulu last year.
Mrs Jere recontested the seat on PF ticket last year.
She was received by Eastern Province UPND chairperson Johabie Mtonga in Lumezi District early this week.
Other former MPs who have joined UPND are ex PF Vubwi MP Margaret Miti and ex Msanzala MP Peter Daka.
Jere was an independent MP from 2016 to 2021 then joined PF.
She recontested the seat in 2021 on PF ticket but lost to the current Independent MP Munir Zulu.
