Twenty two year old Maeka Musowe, who was arrested for allegedly suffocating her son to death, is admitted to the University Teaching Hospital -UTH- after falling ill.

According to ZNBC News, UTH Public Relations Officer Natalie Mashikolo said that MUSOWE was admitted on Thursday night after falling ill whilst in detention.

Ms Mashikolo says Ms. Musowe’s condition is stable.

This comes days after the suspect allegedly tried to commit suicide while in detention.

Meanwhile, Police spokesperson Rea Hamoonga has confirmed that Ms. Musowe was taken to Kabwata Clinic after complaining of stomach pains before she was referred to UTH.
