The seven dead bodies discovered in Nakonde are all Ethiopian immigrants believed to have been killed outside Zambia and only dumped in the border town.
The bodies, which were discovered half-naked, have since been buried by police in Nakonde.
“We have established that the seven were not murdered in Zambia,” Muchinga deputy commanding officer Lucky Munkondya said.
“As you may be aware, they were found 200 metres from Tanzania, so there is a possible assumption that they were killed from Tanzania and dumped on the Zambian side. This according to a report published by Zambia Daily Mail.
