Schools in Chililabombwe on the Copperbelt will receive 1,500 desks bought using constituency development funds while additional class rooms are also being built in line with the government free education policy.

According to ZNBC, Chililabombwe district commissioner Precious Njekwa disclosed this during the orientation meeting for the 93 newly recruited teachers.

Ms Njekwa who commended government for employing the teachers urged them to work hard and contribute to the delivery of quality free education in the area.

And Chililabombwe District Education Board Secretary -DEBS- Memory Mwalu said the district has received a good number of teachers which will go a long way to beef up staff in early childhood, primary and secondary school teachers.
