(ZNBC) The four Chinese nationals who allegedly locked up their workers and battered them at Giant Casino in Kitwe have pleaded not guilty to three accounts of assault.

STEVEN LIN, TONC ZI MING , WEI WEN and LIN YU HUI took plea before Kitwe Magistrate PUMULO MUBITA.

It is alleged that the suspects assaulted TUMMY PUMULO, MASEL

BWALYA and CHILUMBA MULENGA.

The suspects were supposed to take plea yesterday but could not because there was no interpreter.

The matter has been adjourned to October 7,2022 for commencement of trail.

The Magistrate further extended the police bond for the accused.
