Minister of MINES and minerals development said they will restrict mining companies to only get a maximum of 5 licences.
The minister has also given 90 days amnesty for all the illegal miners across the country to stop the operation and make their processed legal with the ministry .
In addition, the minister said those who have more than five licences should justify why they should be given more than the recommended number.
He said the ministry will put up a Statutory Instrument that will restrict the number of licences for all mining companies.
The minister said this during a press briefing today in Lusaka.
