President Hakainde Hichilema has arrived in Luapula Province where he has gone on a one day working visit.

Reports say the Zambia Air Force plane carrying the President landed at Mansa Airport at 10:14hrs where he was received by Luapula Province Permanent Secretary, Mighty Mumba and Mansa residents who flooded the airport.

Hichilema is scheduled to visit Mwense district to meet several chiefs and to drum up support for UPND candidate Stephen Chikota who is contesting the Mwense Mayoral elections scheduled for Friday.

Later, the President will fly to Chipili district where he will inspect the Luongo Manganese mine.

He is accompanied by Mines Minister, Paul Kabuswe, Health Minister, Sylvia Masebo, Local Government Minister, Gary Nkombo and Community Development Minister, Doreen Mwamba. This is contained in a report published by Byta FM.
