Some well wishers have reached out to the 85-year-old Woman of Kanyama Compound who has been walking for 5 Kilometres daily to buy vegetables worth K15 for resale in a bid to make ends meet.
This comes after a news report about her by ABN TV journalist circulated with the woman identified as Ms Mupele explaining how she has been struggling to pay rentals for over 1 year 6 months hence walking long distances to buy vegetables which she would re sale.
Watching the news reported about her, Thomas Sipalo and William Mwanza managed to raise funds over K7,000 from which they bought her mealie meal, sugar,cooking oil and charcoal for pre packing to boost her business.
They also bought a mattress, duvet ,some pocket money for her own and other items both for business and home use
“we also managed to clear her 1 year 6 months outstanding rental arrears,we promised to be monitoring her business every 3 months.
Thanks to all those friends who managed and those who couldn’t contribute,may God bless you abundantly” Sipalo stated.
He further encouraged people that if everyone puts their mind together, komboni lives can be changed. This is contained in a report published by NKANI.
