THE Lusaka High Court has convicted, pending sentencing, a Lusaka resident who caused the death of former Kabwata UPND MP Levy Mkandawire through dangerous driving in November last year. Judge Ruth Chibbabbuka convicted Alick Kalengo, 51, upon his own admission of guilt and reserved sentencing to today.
Kalengo is charged with causing death by dangerous driving contrary to Section 161 (1) of the Road Traffic Act No 11 of 2002 of the Laws of Zambia. It is alleged that on November 18, 2021, in Lusaka, Kalengo caused the death of Levy Mkandawire
