A heavy downpour that was experienced over the weekend has left a trail of destruction in Namwala, Southern province.
About 98 houses and other property have been damaged, leaving residents stranded.
Namwala Central Ward councilor, Young Shandavu has told Diamond News that property including unknown number of vehicles which parked at a named garage have also been destroyed.
Meanwhile, the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit has come to the aid of the affected families with assorted food stuffs. This is contained in a report published by Diamond TV.
