Leader of opposition in Parliament Hon Brian Mundubile has led a battalion of Patriotic Front PF Members of Parliament to former President Edgar Chagwa LUNGU’s house in Ibex Hill Lusaka.

Hon Mundubile and a series of PF MPs are on a mission to give solidarity to the former head of state who is currently facing a wave of intimidation and persecution attempts from the New Dawn government using the police.

It is visible that a band of not less than 150 police officers have been deployed with more reinforcements on the way to the former head of state’s house claiming to be looking for three vehicles, a Toyota Runx, Allion and Hilux.

According to the former President’s lawyer Makebi Zulu, the police have a search warrant in the name of the former First Lady Madam Esther LUNGU seeing as President Edgar LUNGU enjoys immunity from any such as former head of state.

Hon Mundubile who is also PF Member of Central Committee and party Presidential Candidate has charged that the PF as a party both in parliament and outside will not seat back and allow anyone to intimidate former President LUNGU and his family.

He says that it is clear that the UPND President, Mr Hakainde Hichilema has misplaced priorities as he believes the seating President should be focusing on alleviating Zambians from the nauseating poverty that his party and government have put them in.

Hon Mundubile has told President Hichilema and his party to stop abusing the police by setting them up to intimidate innocent citizens such as former President LUNGU and his family.

He says that It’s extremely absurd for anyone, especially those in the new dawn to want to accuse a former head of state of concealing such small or any vehicles at all.
