Patriotic Front presidential aspirant, Emmanuel Mwamba has appealed to the UPND to stop attacking the Judiciary and public service workers.

Appearing on Diamond Television Breakfast Show, Mr. Mwamba said the recent remarks against civil servants and the Judiciary by the UPND led by Sesheke MP, Hon. Romeo Kangombe were unfortunate and totally unacceptable.

He said it was public institutions such as the Judiciary, the Electoral Commission of Zambia and security wings that ensured that the Will of Zambians was upheld and Mr. Hakainde Hichilema became the President of Zambia.

He said if these institutions were partisan as being alleged, they would have thwarted the win and would not have delivered an electoral victory to the Opposition.

He said the unfortunate thinking has permeated in institutions where professionals are being fired and being purged on allegations that they belong to former ruling party. He said such unfair dismissals continue to cause divisions in the country.

He also urged the UPND leadership to apologize over what happened at the Lusaka Magistrate Complex were UPND cadres stormed the court premises and were hunting for Hon.Bowman Lusambo, Hon. Raphael Nakacinda and Hon. Ronald Chitotela.

He said this conduct undermines the integrity and independence of the Judiciary and threatens its impartiality.

And Mr. Mwamba has called for the conduct of clean politics that promote integrity and an objective discourse over national matters.

He said President Hichilema must use the Zambia Centre for Inter-party Dialogue (ZCID) to consult and obtain consensus on key national but contentious issues such as the opening of the USA AFRICOM security office, the role of the IMF in Zambia and the intended disposal of both KCM and Mopani Copper Mines.
