The father of a 19 year old grade five pupil has been awarded K10,000 in damages after a local court found the man responsible for impregnating her, liable for damage to virginity resulting in pregnancy.
Philemon Chanda, 63, of Masala Township sued Lawrence Musakaya, 25, of the same township for making his daughter pregnant with the promise of marriage that he failed to fulfil. This is contained in a report published by Sunday Times.
