“Zambia has great potential for food delivery with over 1500 restaurants in Lusaka only. Following our Yango ride-hailing business, we took interest in research on other convenient daily scenarios which we could provide solutions for. Yango Deli has launched to offer a quality and technological service that makes food delivery more convenient and faster. We develop innovative solutions that bring users, restaurants and couriers together and constantly devote attention to diversifying our range of restaurants and optimizing delivery times», – said Otassy Moonga, Head of Commerce for Yango Deli in Zambia.
The free Yango Deli app is available for IOS and Android in English and many other languages. Also service available in the Yango app through the «Restaurants» section. users can make an order in a few minutes: you need to download the app, specify a delivery address, choose a restaurant and mark the meals to be added to the cart. Deliveries are carried out by couriers from partner logistics services or restaurants. They use special thermo bags which keep hot meals warm and retain appetizing appearance before reaching their destination.
The average delivery time is 30 minutes from order to drop-off. Our technologies allows service to optimize the usual mechanisms of working with restaurants and deliver orders faster as it has its own mapping, routing, and navigation as well as smart order distribution. Each Courier is automatically assigned to the order: the algorithm finds out who is closer to the selected restaurant. Deliveries can be tracked in real-time in the app – it informs you about the current stage of the order and where the courier is.
The service has a 24-hour support service. If the user is unsatisfied with the order or wants to ask a question, he can contact the support team through the app and they will help him sort out the situation.
