A senior member of the Barotse Royal Establishment, Induna Inete, was tragically sh0t dead at his residence on the morning of March 18, 2024.
The esteemed Induna, aged 72, was ambushed while attempting to secure his vehicle, leading to his untimely demise.
Facts of the matter are that the day prior to the murde£r, the Induna, accompanied by family members, ventured into the plains to address a reported snake presence in his field.
Armed for protection, little did he know that the following day would bring a fatal turn of events. After returning from a brief outing, he was met with a deadly attack by an unknown assailant lying in wait.
The sound of gunf!re, initially dismissed by villagers as a defensive measure against common theft, was later discovered to be the cause of the Induna’s death.
The community members now mourns the loss of a key figure in their society.
Authorities have launched a full-scale investigation, with the Induna’s sh0tgun retrieved for ballistic examination.
The police are determined to uncover the identity of the perpetrator and bring justice to this act.
