Republican Vice President Mutale Nalumango Mutale Nalumango has reaffirmed Government commitment to supporting traditional ceremonies in the country.
This came to light when she graced the Mutomboko Fundraising Golf Day Friday Evening.
This year’s Ceremony will be held on the 26th and 27th of July in Mwansabombwe, Luapula province.
Mrs Nalumango said it is gratifying that the Mutomboko Traditional Ceremony has in the past two years taken an approach that considers untapped potential of Luapula province.
She said this include initiatives that showcases the tourism potential of Luapula Province.
Mrs Nalumango noted that the strategic development area of economic Transformation and job creation through value addition in different sectors provide the basis and linkage of the Mutomboko ceremony expansive initiative.
“it is through such proactive approaches that can contribute to the sustainable empowerment of the people of Luapula province as well as enhancing the Gross Domestic Product of the country,” she said.
