Zambeef PLC has successfully executed its 130 hectares winter maize project in Mpongwe district.
This is in response to the government’s call for commercial farmers to venture into winter maize farming.
And the company says it has supplied more than 17000 tonnes of its maize to the food reserve agency FRA out of the 20,000 tonnes supply contract with the agency.
Zambeef PLC corporate affairs and sustainability Executive EZEKIEL SEKELE says the company will continue to support the country’s food security agenda.
He was speaking shortly after inspecting the 130 hectares winter maize project at the Zambeef Mpongwe farms.
