Government has described the death of three children from the same family in an inf£rnø caused by lightning in Kabanana as a tragedy.
Vice President Dr. W.K. Mutale Nalumango said the loss of the children, who were reportedly struck by lightning, is both shocking and heartbreaking.
She called on the public to support the grieving family in any way possible.
Speaking to Journalists when she visited the funeral house in Chipata Compound today, Dr. Nalumango announced that the government has offered a piece of land to the ber£aved family.
Additionally, through the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU), the government has provided food and other forms of support towards the funeral.
Family representative David Phiri expressed gratitude to the government for its assistance during this difficult period. Mr. Phiri informed the media that the burial of the three childr£n will take place tomorrow.
The funeral service is being held at Chipata Main Seventh Day Adventist Church.
