FAZ president Andrew Kamanga says he will reward Copper Queens coach Bruce Mwape for achieving the ultimate goal of qualifying the team to the FIFA World Cup.
Kamanga said Mwape fulfilled the ambitions of qualifying to both the Olympics and the World Cup.
Mwape himself said after qualifying on Wednesday night: “People thought it was a fluke when we qualified to the Olympics after beating Cameroon. And when we came here some people doubted, but we have proved ourselves.”
And Kamanga responded: “And he (Mwape) deserves an award from me.”
Since his appointment, Mwape has turned the women’s team into a competitive team, culminating into the realisation of the World Cup dream, a first for Zambia.
