Catholic Diocese of Ndola Bishop Benjamin Phiri has repeated his directive that no politician should be given a platform to speak to the faithful during Mass or within the Church premises outside after Mass.

Bishop Phiri in his latest communication said he has noted that some Parishes are allowing visiting politicians to speak during Mass which is contrary to the directive he issued just before the 2021 General Elections.

The Chief Shepherd reiterated that politicians visiting Churches should be treated like other ordinary Christians coming to worship.

Bishop Phiri said Churches are not political platforms.

And Bishop Phiri has urged the Church to pray for political leaders that they may work for unity and the betterment of human lives.
