The Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) through the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee has awarded certificates of merit to seven Zambian Athletes.
The Certificates are awarded to Athletes who recorded a Top 8 finish for individual events (Athletes who performed well, even though they didn’t win the top prize).
Team Zambia recipients are as follows:
1. Stephen Zimba – 2nd Position Boxing Welterweight
2. Patrick Chinyemba – 3rd Position Boxing Flyweight
3. Simon Zulu – 5th Position Judo -60 kg
4. Felistus Nkandu – 5th Position Boxing Lightweight
5. Margret Tembo – 5th Position Boxing Minimumweight
6. Steven Mung’andu – 7th Position Judo -66 kg
7. Richard Lubanza – 8th Position Para-powerlifting Lightweight
