“Local coach. International coach. Black coach. White coach. This isn’t important. What’s important are the plan, the vision, the target of the National Team. Also importantly is the identity of the team. The best available players for the team right now. We need a coach who will fit the identity of the team and can bring together the different personalities, strengths and qualities of these players. We need a unifier. Someone who has the mental strength to deal with the demands of international football. Someone who can work with players within a short space of time and still bring out the best in them. We need a coach who’s not afraid to be fired for believing in his methods to succeed. We need a self made coach. Finding this coach needs patience and honesty. This is more than just winning, it’s about consistency over a long period of time,”
