Alina Karimamusama, prominent young Zambian social entrepreneur, has raised the Zambian flag high During the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Week, at the 11th Anniversary Annual First Ladies Luncheon hosted by F4D, that has brought together bring together global fashion brands, NGOs, diplomats, and over 32 First Ladies from around the world. As she fundraisers for investments into youthled ventures in Zambia

Ellie Goulding, Charlize Theron, Amber Heard, Victoria Beckham, Naomi Campbell, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Donna Karan, are among others, who have been honoured at this prestigious event throughout the years.

For the first time in the history of The United Nations First Ladies Luncheon, a Central African origin luminary has been selected to deliver a keynote speech. This year, Alina Karimamusama, who is a social entrepreneur, activist, and young commonwealth ambassador, was a headliner.

Numerous significant investors and people from the worlds of politics, entertainment, fashion, activism, and business will convene to support both the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and efforts of The First Ladies Luncheon to advocate constructive methods for sustainable economic development.

Karimamusama says “I am truly honored at the opportunity and ready to leverage these opportunities to implement change. last year December, I launched a Venture Capital fund for young people, led by young people. it was an incredible 3 days of creating impact and investing in young Zambian entrepreneurs- I brought together some of the continents most amazing young entrepreneurs from the diaspora and within, to engage with Zambias most promising youth. I am excited to leverage this opportunity and others to create even more impact and funding back home not just for my own businesses, but other young people too. We are tired of asking for a seat at the table and ready to build our own inclusive tables, where all young people are welcome.”
