Sources reveal owners of the licenses recently learnt of the attempts to use powerful government connections to fraudulently transfer the mine licenses.
Anglo American has since confirmed it is progressing early-stage copper exploration in North-Western Province following completion of the formation of its joint venture with a subsidiary of Arc Minerals Ltd (“Arc”) amidst fraudulent transactions cited.
