In the aftermath of the intense match that saw his team knocked out of the Africa Cup of Nations by Morocco, veteran coach Avram Grant stepped forward to address the media in a post-match interview. Drawing on his experience as a former manager of Chelsea, Grant spoke with composure and insight, recognizing the strength of their opponents and the challenges his team had faced.

Morocco is a formidable team, and their performance at the World Cup was truly impressive,” Grant began, his tone one of respect and appreciation. “We knew going into this match that it would be a tough battle, and I am proud of the way my team fought until the very end. While the outcome is not what we had hoped for, I believe we gave it our all and showed our character as a team.

However, he emphasized the effort put forth by his team, stating, “It’s not easy to play against them, but we did well.” Grant also highlighted Zambia’s improved second-half performance and their domination of the play.

Although they couldn’t secure a win, their efforts showcased great character and progress. Grant further mentioned the tough competition within Group F, giving credit to Tanzania’s goalless draw against Congo.

With this young and promising squad, Zambia aims to build on this experience and make a triumphant return in the next tournament.
