A witness has told the Lusaka High Court that on August 28, 2023, he heard a 14-year-old girl who was allegedly ki!led by her employers crying, around midnight, before she d!ed.
Testifying before Justice Vincent Siloka, Joshua Marimo aged 20, a neighbour to the accused, says the girl cried for 15 minutes and stopped around 23:00 hours.
He says the last time he heard the girl crying was around midnight.
According to the witness, there was a loud scream which did not take long and that’s the last time he heard anything from the girl.
The witness says, the next day, he never saw the girl.
In this matter, a couple of Lusaka’s Chalala area is facing murd£r allegations in connection with the d£ath of a 14-year-old girl identified as Janet Chola, who was employed as a maid at their house.
