A 32-year-old doctor working at the University Teaching Hospital has been arrested for obtaining money by fälse prëtenses.
Dr. Chilungamika Nyendwa allegedly swindled an unsuspëcting member of the public of K45, 500.
This is in relation to a company he owns called ShopAll Engines and Parts, with his brother who claims to stay in South Africa.
Dr. Nyendwa allegedly swindled a business man, Ronald Kombe of K45, 500 for the supply of an engine, a diff and a steering rack.
On Monday, 29th April, 2024, police at Chilenje police station officially charged and arrested Dr. Nyendwa of Chamba Valley area for the offence of obtaining money by fälse prëtenses.
Dr. Nyendwa has since been released on Police Bond.
Police Spokesperson, Rae Hamoonga says Dr. Nyendwa will appear in court soon.
