I still recall how weird it was the first day I learned I was HIV-positive for myself. Imagine you reach Grade 8, eager to begin and meet new people ☺️, but that day had a different tale for me, and I believe that everything changed from that moment on about how I perceived the world ????. Did I ask my parents about it to get some information? No, my parents passed away (Dad in 1998 and mum in 2002); did I blame them? ????nope. Thanks to my other families, I was able to understand and hear how everything came about and how I came to be in this situation at such a young age ????.That’s a tale for another ????day.

Now, to my fellow people who are living with HIV like myself, my point is that, as much as you may want to know how it happened to you, sometimes it’s not even the most important thing. The most important thing is how you plan to live a good positive life.
Did you know that HIV can be controlled? ????
Did you realize that you may become undetectable by taking your prescription consistently and well? ????, it simply means even if you have H!V, you can’t spread it to your partner through unprotected intercourse when you are on Undetectable level, as we normally call it U=U (Undet£ctable = Untransm!table virus) Yeah, that is a fact. However, doing it will require work on your part, not someone else’s. You agree to it and follow all the instructions for medication from your therapists, physicians, and other caregivers. Imagine it in this manner: Will you let the person who has moved in with you (the v!rus) take over your home if you possess your own home (your body)? It’s your house right? ????, your rules, or are you still brave enough to stand up and say that?. Similar to HIV, just because you have it doesn’t mean it defines you or that it should dictate how well you live. You must take control of it and exercise dominance over it. In the end, it’s still your body, your life, and your responsibility.
And to individuals who are HIV-negative: don’t be hateful. Stigma and Discrimination must be a thing of the past ????. Not everyone who is positive acquires HIV through s£xual activity; some people are simply born with it, while others get it through blood transfusion.
You have a tremendous amount of influence over awareness, prevention, and change. Therefore, you should detest HIV/AIDS, not those who have it, like myself.
